Well done, Nadia Whittome.

It is shameful that words that one would once expected to hear directed at a Tory Home Secretary are now being directed at a Labour Home Secretary.
The government should be ashamed that its migration policies are being cheered on by Tommy Robinson and Reform.

Instead of standing up to anti-migrant hate, this is laying the foundations for the far-right.

I questioned the Home Secretary on how she can be proposing such obviously cruel policies.

NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

She was later released with NO CHARGE.

A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.

Why I remain hopeful. Even as the older, wealthy Tories are moving enmasse to Reform, the young people are rejecting it outright.
An inconvenient truth. @turnbulldugarte.com and @emiliabelknap.bsky.social puncture a pervasive myth. ‬ "Among young respondents aged 18-25, a very comfortable majority of women reject Reform UK (75%), and a similarly large majority of men in the same age group share the same view (71%)."

Easier option was to ban firecrackers, or community firecrackers like the rest of the world, but the Sanatanis were offended that they weren't being allowed to celebrate Diwali; so we have gimmicks like this: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/o...

Read some of the comments arguing it isn't antisemitism because unlike Aston Villa a particular religious/ethnic group isn't being singled out - except in that case too, football hooligans were singled out not a particular religious/ethnic group.

They’re morons, they’re just dickheads who accidentally struck it rich by chance, not by merit, and this system does not give a fuck about the ability or morality of the idiots who relentlessly quest to amass as much money as possible

I mean yes this is funny, but the fact that these unconstitutional stormtroopers are so directionless that they literally stand around waiting for random nonwhite delivery guys to bike past them is just pathetic. No mandate, no mission, no clue. Just racism.

Yes, this.

Lamp-posts in York now have flags which the council has refused to take down. It is much less about patriotism but more about the far-right declaring war, and Labour are refusing to speak up and do something about it.
Could we please stop pretending that the flags being hung from streetlamps or painted on roundabouts are innocent expressions of patriotic pride? This is the far right marking out its territory. It uses these flags to intimidate its traditional victims and opponents. 🧵1/3
