Half the amount that everyone currently pays could provide universal healthcare. Private health companies don’t need to exist. Eliminate them. And use your collective buying power and economies of scale to get it done. Every cent of their profit is healthcare denied.

For reasons I can’t comprehend, this “corrective” uncritically accepts Atwater’s hasty denial as true, right after he distilled the post-60s conservative approach to race so perfectly that it’s been quoted a million times. Hard to believe he was building a strawman to knock down and nothing more.
The cherry on top of all this is that Grim -- like many people on the left -- get that Atwater interview completely wrong.
Here it is. I criticized Ryan Grim because I didn't think he challenged Christopher Rufo all that hard, and Grim called it "defamation".
