Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I don’t know what things will look like for game development moving forward. My survival may require I shelve my ambitions for a while and focus on projects that have more immediate results. I don’t know. I genuinely don’t know anymore.

I have begun the process of moving out which will formally begin late November. I have a lot to prepare and not much time to get it done. I’m in for a hard struggle in the mean time but I am hoping to rebound eventually.

I am working on a patch to fix some notable issues with Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale's demo since @xhinope.bsky.social stream highlighted them. I have to apologize that such notable bugs slipped through the cracks despite months of testing. Believe me, no one is more aggravated by the bugs than me.
