Reminder: slavery hasn’t been abolished in the United States.

The 13th amendment says slavery is legal as a punishment for a crime.

Black Americans have been living under mass incarceration for decades, what we are seeing is an acceleration of this system.

I think it’s basically time to retire the peace prize because it really is meaningless at this point. Another 100+ year-old tradition cheapened, wrecked, and discredited by the gauche garish gangster.

McDonald's is anti-union.

Starbucks is anti-union.

Google is anti-union.

Walmart is anti-union.

These mega-corporations aren’t on workers’ side and their actions make it painfully clear.

ICMYI on Friday...these are really unusual comments from a FDA CDER director on political interference....

"There’s a lot of weight up above me," Tidmarsh said.

“And so I can always be overturned, which is fine,” he said. “If that happens, that happens.”

AI bros will sometimes claim that AI will solve "the scarcity of human minds".

Take a supply-and-demand model though, and you'll realize that that's just another way of saying that knowledge workers are too expensive.

If you were Donald Rumsfeld, you might say, GenAI is a tool for creating unknown unknowns. You tend to end up not knowing what it is that you don't know
It is *so critically important* that unit tests be *completely understood* by the person writing them. That is your safety net! That is the foundation upon which the rest of your code is built! Let copilot generate all of your code as long as you write the unit tests! 😭
