People sometimes praise Farage for taking lots of questions from the press.
That seems irrelevant when he regularly responds to reasonable questions in insulting and Trump-like terms, often attacking individual journalists and their outlets. Collectively, the lobby shouldn’t stand for it.
Nigel Farage lashes out at a FT journalist and refuses to answer the question.

Is this how Reform UK would ignore media questions if they got into government?

Fascinating. Will the opponents of protofascism have learned enough from Caerphilly?
Labour has now come in from 10/1 to 5/1 in Gorton and Denton, with Reform at 3/1 against, and Greens odds-on.

NB: these are prices (reflecting betting patterns) not predictions

(There has been no representative polling of the constituency published during the campaign + no hard data).

Has anyone asked Goodwin or Farage about this yet?

Astonishing it wasn't raised at Farage's press conference..

Adam Mitula, who is canvassing for the party in Gorton and Denton, also tweeted that the six million who died in the Holocaust only included ‘some Jews’

It's a complete nonsense but more than that the nonsense sits at the very heart of state and identity.

Britain needs scrap it as a first step in reinventing itself.

If you have a Royal Family, you have deference.

If you have a Royal Family, you have a class system.

If you have a RF, you essentially say, "These people are better than everyone else by dint of birth & should maintain enormous influence, wealth and power."

Why would anyone want that at all?

On so many levels, Jenrick is a thoroughly loathsome politician.

From April, who gets more money in their pocket?

⬆️ Higher National Living Wage
⬆️ State Pension rise
⬆️ Universal Credit & benefits uprated
⬆️ Expanded childcare support

Biggest gains go to minimum wage workers, pensioners & low-income families.

I’m in Westminster where Nigel Farage is about to unveil his ‘shadow cabinet’ and the decor is slightly bonkers. Looks like he’s going to launch a Simon Cowell-era boyband instead.

This is just blatant self soothing, it refers to global events like covid or the war in Ukraine as explanations for Britain's malaise, but then ignores them for other countries, the reality is the UK was hit worse and has recovered worse, in part due to brexit, in part because you were in government

But still. That “experience of government” is looking very much like the wrong kind…
