Seeing 'but what else can Labour do to beat Reform?' posts appearing. FFS, try being humane a recognising that refugees and immigrants have greatly benefited the UK. Chasing after Reform is killing Labour. No loss to me as I'm not a Lab voter, but some still are.

Is this what Labour politicians came into politics for?

To get cheered on by Tommy Robinson as they kick some of the most vulnerable people on earth?

How are they not all dying of shame

Removing asylum support. Seizing belongings. Deporting entire families, including children.
Labour are not just paving the path to a Reform government. Reform may as well already be in power.
This government has no moral compass — and it should be ashamed of its inhumanity (Jeremy Corbyn)

They call it a UK Budget, yet a Labour government in England’s parliament makes no effort to consult or discuss it with the other nations it affects.

It’s imposed, not agreed.

This is how the Union operates.

it’s clear it isn’t a Union at all.

The govt's proposed new asylum laws are impractical, ineffectual, and outright cruel. Aping the rhetoric of Reform won't fix the real issues in this country; it will only stir up more false divisions and endanger already vulnerable communities.

Dounreay nuclear power station last produced electricity 30+ years ago, yet decontamination is expected to last until the 2070s and cost £8Bn, with full decontamination of the site estimated to take more than 300 years. Now Westminster wants to build *more* nuclear power stations in Scotland.

🥀Labour are launching another vile attack on fundamental human rights.

It is not illegal to seek asylum and refuge here, no matter the circumstances. No human is illegal.

We strongly oppose Labour's Trump-style plans.

Plans to leave refugees in a state of perpetual uncertainty about where and if they can rebuild their lives are not just performative cruelty, they are counterproductive to integration and the economy. It doesn’t have to be like this - 1/2

Every time I hear about Jackie Baillie of Labour's Scottish branch office attacking Scotland's health services, I recall the time she and Sarah Boyack were given free beer by Peroni for helping to block life-saving minimum pricing for years. How many more lives could have been saved?

Since Trump’s ‘ceasefire’, Israel killed 900 Palestinians in Gaza. In the West Bank, 691 Palestinians were kidnapped during 1,503 invasions. If the victims had been Israelis, the Western media would have been (rightly) protesting these pogroms. Now? A guilty silence prevails (Yanis Varoufakis)

Bias is often in the eye of the beholder

So let’s stick to measurable facts

During 10 yrs of debate about Brexit, BBC QuestionTime had Britain’s Members of the European Parliament on the show 50 times

Every single one was from the pro Brexit minority

47 were from UKIP/BP

23 times Farage

Financial agencies applaud Scotland’s economy, but all we get is sneering. Govts need held to account but credit where credit is due

It shows how meaningless the quality of our debate has become

In Scotland, any news – even good news – is subjected to partisan point-scoring. It means we repeatedly fail to have the debates we really need,…
