Dounreay nuclear power station last produced electricity 30+ years ago, yet decontamination is expected to last until the 2070s and cost £8Bn, with full decontamination of the site estimated to take more than 300 years. Now Westminster wants to build *more* nuclear power stations in Scotland.

We finally managed to watch @realgdt.bsky.social’s Frankenstein on @netflix.com last night and it is a brilliant adaptation, loving especially that his laboratory is so obviously based on Stirling’s own Wallace Monument! Great to see @stirlingcouncil.bsky.social on screen!

🥀Labour are launching another vile attack on fundamental human rights.

It is not illegal to seek asylum and refuge here, no matter the circumstances. No human is illegal.

We strongly oppose Labour's Trump-style plans.

Plans to leave refugees in a state of perpetual uncertainty about where and if they can rebuild their lives are not just performative cruelty, they are counterproductive to integration and the economy. It doesn’t have to be like this - 1/2

Every time I hear about Jackie Baillie of Labour's Scottish branch office attacking Scotland's health services, I recall the time she and Sarah Boyack were given free beer by Peroni for helping to block life-saving minimum pricing for years. How many more lives could have been saved?

Morning all.

Let’s start the day with yet another example of hackneyed patronising tripe from the English press.

Have a nice day!

Since Trump’s ‘ceasefire’, Israel killed 900 Palestinians in Gaza. In the West Bank, 691 Palestinians were kidnapped during 1,503 invasions. If the victims had been Israelis, the Western media would have been (rightly) protesting these pogroms. Now? A guilty silence prevails (Yanis Varoufakis)

BBC

Bias is often in the eye of the beholder

So let’s stick to measurable facts

During 10 yrs of debate about Brexit, BBC QuestionTime had Britain’s Members of the European Parliament on the show 50 times

Every single one was from the pro Brexit minority

47 were from UKIP/BP

23 times Farage

Even when Scotland is praised on the world stage the SNP gets no credit

Financial agencies applaud Scotland’s economy, but all we get is sneering. Govts need held to account but credit where credit is due

It shows how meaningless the quality of our debate has become

In @heraldscotland.bsky.social
Even when Scotland gets a global thumbs-up financially the SNP get zero credit
In Scotland, any news – even good news – is subjected to partisan point-scoring. It means we repeatedly fail to have the debates we really need,…

"This is sociopathic behaviour"

I suspect that the trial against Peter Murrell will be gearing up in the next few months, timed to coincide with the election in 2026?

OR, it will be quietly forgotten about, since they know it will be kicked out of court for wasting police time?

Either way, it will be framed for max SNP damage.
