Avalyn was shooting a hairband around the room for the kitten that we're Definitely Not Keeping to chase, and at one point got it stuck up on a ceiling fan. After watching us retrieve it, the kitten is now convinced that every ceiling fan in the house might have a secret toy in it.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

As someone who is in the middle of dealing with a car whose off switch does not always work because of a malfunctioning dash, and which will cost $950 to fix so that i can reliably have an off switch again, i fail to see the appeal here.

All drugs, with very few exceptions (date rape drugs come to mind) should be legalized and sold through government run stores, with taxes used to fund treatment programs.
Would some people make poor choices? Yes. But a lot of people are already making poor choices under worse circumstances.

I just discovered an amazing technical tip for Windows audio!
I've long suffered from constantly increasing audio latency in Windows from an RDP source. Close and re-open the RDP and there's practically zero audio lag at first, but then the lag starts increasing over time.

Really aggravated that Disney merged my MyDisney and DisneyPlus accounts without asking, and Avalyn's MyDisney and Hulu accounts without asking. I hate it at the conceptual level, but also practically speaking there is no way now to merge our DisneyPlus and Hulu accounts together.

As someone who has a flight scheduled to visit my family for the holidays, i would be sad if the shutdown continued and my flight was canceled.
But that is far less of a price than other people are already paying or will pay if Trump has his way, and it's a price i'd be willing to pay.

I just made coffee for an early morning meeting without turning on all the lights in the kitchen, not realizing that Avalyn had put a newly purchased bottle of curry powder in front of the bottle of cocoa-chili mix.

We've somehow decided on "Clue" as our Halloween movie while waiting for trick-or-treaters.
Luckily we have it on dvd since it's not available on subscription streaming.
(Ironically we found the "Without A Clue" DVD before we found the "Clue" DVD.)

Hidive has some _serious_ UI issues. (No auto-play?!?) But the ability to turn on subtitles while watching a dub is a godsend. (And something that Funimation used to allow as well before Crunchyroll killed them.)

Hidive has some _serious_ UI issues. (No auto-play?!?) But the ability to turn on subtitles while watching a dub is a godsend. (And something that Funimation used to allow as well before Crunchyroll killed them.)
