Ok this is an ibm press release so take it with some grains of salt. But cmos fab for superconducting qubits could be a big deal. Right now every superconducting qubits made “by hand” — by a person running machines. If you want uniformity and high yield then cmos it is.

I didn’t post when our old dog died because there’s already enough stuff to be sad about in this dumb ol world. But after a suitable mourning period I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have a dog in the house again.
