Taking time off for a new child or a family tragedy should be a basic right. Yet millions of workers aren’t covered by FMLA.

I support the Job Protection Act to:

✅ Expand FMLA to all business sizes
✅ Cover part-time & multi-job workers
✅ Shorten work-time requirements

They’re not gonna do shit. They’re gonna bitch for a bit and then shut the fuck and pay a little more in taxes and use their financial advisors to get out of most of it. Stop with these stupid fucking articles.
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

The key to success in an authoritarian system is not competence but loyalty to dear leader, which is why so many staffers are not evil geniuses but bumbling lackeys.
This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

Have we forgotten Russell Vought?!

Vought is in cahoots with Thomas, Alito & ???! He is the true evil mastermind behind the Trump Admin!

He is sneaky quiet—but has caused the most damage with his secrecy and unraveling of agencies and previous norms!🤬

It’s just infuriating to me that there is zero amount of money I can pay to ensure that a family member does not get scammed or victimised or otherwise taken advantage of

Every other experience in life has a “pay more for safety” option except for the ONE thing we made necessary to access life care
It is surprising to me that none of the major platforms have actual _parental control_ features so that we can limit the amount of time that our parents can spend online, and which apps they’re allowed to use. I don’t worry about my teenager’s use of the internet at all, just my octogenarian dad’s.

This. Congress was designed as the check and balance system. SCOTUS the failsafe. Our government has utterly failed us, bc a majority of this country is too lazy to care about politics or simply and utterly hates.
I am more discussed and angry at this Republican administration than I am at Trump. He would be nothing without them. He would not be able to wreck our country if it were not for their actions. They were put in office to serve America and Americans not Trump. They all failed miserably

Yep. We have to shine an even brighter light on the lunacy.
When a leader becomes so weak & unstable, lies need to be amplified even more. Without them his cult of personality weakens. This might be insane but it needs to be understood historically. Fascism is more than ever the main ideological precedent for Trump's lies.

The blatant selling of pardons is perhaps the clearest instance of criminal conduct authorized by SCOTUS. Pardons are a quintessential "official act." So, even when Trump takes a bribe to issue one, he is presumably above the criminal law.

Trump is a demented, criminal, pathological liar, who belongs in an institution. Either a mental institution, a penal institution or a nursing home. I don’t care which. And he’s only lying when his lips are moving, he’s writing, or posting on social media. Or awake. 🙄
Written in the style of someone recently jilted who also got fired the same week.
