A lot of chatter about primaries. That may be the only thing that gets yall to understand what voters are begging you to do.
I bet Eric Cantor never thought he’d be primaried & lose, but he did, & the same could happen to any member of Congress at this point.
Empty words arent cutting it now.

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.
The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.
The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.

Many Americans are hurting right now because of the shutdown, but caving to Republicans won’t end the hurt.
Trump and his lapdogs continue to assert that they alone have the power to slash whatever programs they don’t like.
Deals with this regime are meaningless.

Dems always getting punked for being the adult. This thing is going to break out in the open at some point. Negotiating with fascists is just a game they play to weaken the opposition briefly before the inevitable.

Of course a little over half the people getting SNAP food aid *have jobs*. They just aren't earning enough money to feed their families and pay rent etc too. And many are simply between jobs, are applying for them. And even if the SNAP recipient doesn't work--does that mean we starve their children?

@hickenlooper.senate.gov @bennet.senate.gov please introduce a bill that requires that members of Congress buy their healthcare on ACA portals in each state. This would really enlighten folks about what we have to contend with.

Dems Reward the Hostage-Taker
Perhaps ending the shutdown was the responsible thing to do. But by caving, Democrats risk legitimizing Trump’s maximum-pain shutdown tactics.
