I wrote and animated a mashup of 70s film, Greek & Roman mythology and 60s TV hillbillies. It's not for everybody. It could use some more work.
It succeeds at what I was trying to do.

He got his BA from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN (a town of probably 10k at the time.)

He went there on a football scholarship and studied theater.

Just think what the world misses if small colleges close their creative arts departments.
An absolutely wonderful, versatile, powerful and powerfully funny actor who enlivened everything he was in, and a huge loss. I'm not going to say the word, but we're all thinking it in his honor. RIP Isiah Whitlock. deadline.com/2025/12/isia...

I called out "Robert Altman rocks!" during the premiere parade for A Prairie Home Companion movie and I think he thought I said "sucks" and I felt bad about that. I tried to remedy it by smiling with exaggerated good will.
Dennis Rodman flirting with me in Newport Beach in the late 90s. Or Barry Bonds flirting with me when we had seats just behind home plate at the new field in San Francisco in 2001. (I was more impressed with the Worm but my husband was more impressed by Barry Bonds flirting with his 37-y-o wife.)
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

So I watched Life of Chuck last night.
What an interesting movie.
Thought about going back and watching it from the beginning, but then thought, "No, I get it." Might watch the dance scene again though.

People building a house out of candy on hulu. Would ordinarily enthrall me. However, it's that kind of "documentary" that's all wide-eyes & repetition. I have no tolerance for it. This penguin tho (I have no idea how it fits into the candy house) was worth the amount I watched.

Watched The Bishop's Wife last night on Amazon. The "Trivia" portion of the X-ray feature said this scene was filmed in Loring Park, Minneapolis, Minnesota. (!?!)
Wikipedia says location filming was done in Minneapolis. Unexpected. Especially as this scene looks like a sound stage.

If you see this post a random fact about yourself:

I have Nelson Rockefeller's autograph on a folded newspaper hat that I got at a Turkey Days parade in Worthington, Minnesota.
If you see this post a random fact about yourself:

I astounded my children on Christmas when I told them I was in a handbell choir. They all know I'm tone deaf.
If you see this post a random fact about yourself (if you feel like):

I went to a very small school. My graduating class was 23 people. And that was a large class! The year before was 13 people.

Ash in surgery recovery & I injured my dominant forearm which has made every element of life a painful experience. Care assists have me doing most of life twice. Pain levels frustrating.

If you’re near Hamline Midway & want a paid snow gig Sunday eve/Monday? Holler. Have small gas toro & shovels.
OK, but in all seriousness, right now a bunch of meteorologists from Paul Douglas to the National Weather Service are predicting a range of about 5-8 inches in the Twin Cities by the time the storm is over on Monday.
Winter storm to bring snow, possible blizzard conditions to Minnesota Sunday
The National Weather Service is warning of possible blizzard conditions along the western I-90 corridor, while up to 6 inches of snow are expected in the eastern part of the state.

I had the good fortune to see (and hear) him live at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Stood in line to get his autograph. (Don't think I still have it.) Was a treat to listen to him chat with the people in line. One was a waitress that worked in a club he performed in back in the day.
