Age of Enlightenment

A lecture on freedom and equality in the 1770s. Here I used sunlight and shadow, as well as animals, to convey additional layers of metaphor. Commissioned for a history textbook.

Client: Noordhoff Uitgevers
Outdoor scene in the summer, in a country garden in the 18th century: Richly dressed, well off people are sitting around a speaker, having tea. They're in the sunlight. There's a small dog with them who's just been released from the leash. They look at the speaker with interest, open to his words. Another group of 2 people is fully shaded by a tree, and their dog is on a leash. They seem very skeptical and unconvinced by what the speaker is talking about.

Jennifer Barrow, 43, is a hairdresser who lives about a half-hour away in the town of Easton. She also backs the president's immigration crackdown and says she's less focused on the safety of activists and more concerned about immigrants committing violent crime. "I have a 12-year-old daughter, and if I were to happen to witness my daughter being raped by an illegal immigrant that has committed crimes over and over and again and not being deported … that's not OK," Barrow said. She said she doesn't know the number of violent crimes undocumented immigrants commit in the U.S., but said she often hears stories about them raping and murdering women and children.

Is there a Trueref/PureRef app for android/other tablets? I have a small tablet I'd like to use for reference images, but it's running an older Huawei OS. (I'm fine with sideloading .apk files)
