if I was a 12th century Cluniac monk I never would have gotten to passively watch files download at 25 MB/s and would have had to content myself with observations of babbling brooks, fields of wheat swaying in the wind, sunsets, etc

the Harvard alumni mag (which I do read cover to cover every time 🥴) is so centrist in my eyes as to be basically right wing but the letters to the editor in the most recent issue suggest that many alums actually experience it as unbearably leftist and I truly have to laugh. we are so fucked
