AOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.

Okay, I see this stuff about OpenClaw (née Clawd, then Moltbot for a bit) has escaped its bounds and is now getting glowing reviews in normal media.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS.

A lot of the reason people hate AI isn't even what it's done or how it's built, it's that their entire experience of it is a clueless midwit shouting about how it's going to ruin their careers while forcing them to look at actual shit from a butt that they've named "Mona Lisa".

I don't know if anyone else has put this together yet, but in March 2013 the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation announced a big research contest to develop a radically new condom, one that men would use because they would feel better.

2 Years Later, Here's What Happened to Bill Gates' Condoms of the Future
At long last, it looked like the greasy sheaths of latex would meet their demise. In March 2013, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation challenged the world to reinvent the condom — a device that's be...

DOCTOR: I told him he needed to get out to a show, that was how he would cure his depression.

CHOTINER: So you learned this technique in school?

DR: No, not— listen it was good advice. Pagliacci was in town.

C: Right. Is it standard to give advice before learning a patient’s name?

DR: Now look

Birds have trouble working out what glass is; they don't have any inborn understanding of something that is clear but solid. There are some birds that can figure it out, but in places with high bird traffic you often paste a silhouette of a bird onto the glass.

In all honesty finding out there is one or a few tenuous connections between 4chan and this elite cabal since the beginning makes sense of a lot of things. Like the fact that GamerGate legitimately influenced Republican tactics is less insane now.

Republicans: We want to pass a bill to fund the government that's currently busily murdering citizens

Democrats: 👏 Separate 👏 the 👏 murder! 👏

Of course they're trying to figure out a fucking path to funding ICE. Schumer is such a goddamn worm.
Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the party agreed on three main goals:

° Require warrants in some cases and ICE coordination with state and local law enforcement

° Create a code of conduct and enforce it

° Require agents to wear body cams and not masks
Democrats demand new ICE restrictions as government shutdown looms
After federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Senate Democrats say they’ll block a massive government funding package without policy changes.

If you have never had Nazi blood on your knuckles I really don't want to hear about how jazzed you are about a shooting war breaking out. You are a little baby keyboard warrior, basically the equivalent of Republicans who get a hard on when the US invades somewhere.

A lot of this could have been avoided if the Fallout: New Vegas ending for siding with the Legion had been subtly changed, such that it would quietly euthanize the player.

ICE is showing up en masse in Indiana, maybe as they draw down in MPLS.

This will be bad in ways you won't hear about. The population is more sympathetic and national media doesn't care about Indiana. They expect to get away with it better there.

The fundamental problem with LLMs is that *the output is not more valuable than the cost to produce it*. You can't make that profitable; not by selling access and not by selling output. If a machine takes in a dollar and makes something worth 99 cents you can't make it work.

I don't envy Walz right now. He's basically deciding between saving lives by giving Trump an easy out vs. refusing to provide cover and letting things escalate. But it is galling to pretend the White House will do any of this.
The President agreed to look into reducing the number of federal agents in Minnesota and to talk to DHS about ensuring the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is able to conduct an independent investigation, as would ordinarily be the case.

I'm so terrified for everyone back home. This is going to be bad, I don't see anyone talking about how badly this is going to stretch and already incompetently run FEMA. The Trump admin is NOT up to this challenge and they don't care to meet it.
