Look as someone who grew up working class, white, and rural as a young man, I can tell you at least 60% of us don't have even ambiguous Nazi symbols tattooed on us.

I really think this gets at the meat of the problem, and what Klein is too smart to bring up but knows he's glossing over when talking to Coates here, or trying to compromise on women's rights. Compromise is a thing that fascism and white supremacy afford to Klein and not Coates.

People love to pretend that capitalists--here read: "owners of capital" and not "fans of capitalism"--are entirely rational creatures when they actually make a lot of decisions just based on tribal affiliation. EUR:USD rates are a great example of this.
