"Use ChatGPT as a source" and "AI isn't perfect so just double check it" are two mutually exclusive statements that exist in this person's head without conflict only because there are no other thoughts in there, giving these two plenty of space

I haven’t seen this get covered in English yet so let me translate.

Grok is saying that the crematories at Auschwitz’s were conceived as disinfectant chambers, not mass execution and that the law has made it taboo to acknowledge that this is what they were

Over the last few years I've been noticing with dismay the increasing quantity of typos, spelling errors and ungrammatical gibberish published at www.abc.net.au/news/justin. But this must be a new low in quality control:

What a soulless bunch of pointless grubs the LNP are

Counterpoint - it's a disgusting militarisation of customs thought up by macho dipsh*t, Tony Abbott, which an ALP govt that was not afraid of right-wing media would have dumped the second they got into office.

When a chatbot gets something wrong, it’s not because it made an error. It’s because on that roll of the dice, it happened to string together a group of words that, when read by a human, represents something false. But it was working entirely as designed. It was supposed to make a sentence & it did.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Nine Entertainment appears to have ignored the facts about an assault on one of their own journalists.

Tomasi wasn’t “caught in the crossfire”. She wasn’t a protester and only one side was shooting at their employee while she was doing her job.

Absolutely disgusting.

Surely Channel 9's duty of care for their reporter extends to reporting accurately what happened?

This article includes another example of a business deceiving their staff by listing fictional superannuation payments on payslips. Non-payment of superannuation is bad enough. But, surely, falsifying payslips is outright fraud that should be criminally prosecuted?
'Payday super' means you'll get your superannuation when you get your wages
Melbourne bakery workers are likely to be thousands of dollars out-of-pocket in unpaid super entitlements. Could a new law have protected them?
