The taxation of trade routes is in dispute and turmoil has engulfed our Republic.

But there is a new hope. We must band together and resist the dark side.

Do or do not. There is no try. #StarWarsDay

🖋️ “If you aren't ready to impeach, then take back Congressional powers” hit 1,000 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PXRIWU to 50409
If you aren't ready to impeach, then take back Congressional powers
Text SIGN PXRIWU to 50409 — If you aren't ready to impeach Trump, then please, uphold the constitution. Take back the powers that Trump has been arrogating to himself. And please, restore the constitutionally guaranteed rights that have been removed. I refer to the congressional power of appropriations, the power of the purse; and to the congressional power of setting tariffs. Congressional control of agencies created and funded by Congress derives from the appropriations power. Defend those agencies! Congressional appropriations and tariff powers are enshrined in the Constitution-- the document that both you and every president swears to uphold and defend. Habeas corpus is a fundamental plank of our constitution and legal tradition back to Magna Carta. The illegal disappearings and renditions of immigrants without due process is the affront to the rule of law that marks the rise of a dictatorship. When due process, Habeas corpus, and innocent until proven guilty are snatched away, then no one is safe and the rule of law has been overturned. If you are not yet willing to impeach Trump then please insist on maintaining constitutional order. Take back Congress's powers, insist on Habeas corpus and when the president defies court orders and attacks the judicial system take a stand and take action.

So… this was supposed to be about Paul Revere’s ride, but the Senator just unloaded about the Trump administration and its Republican enablers. Far more newsworthy than I expected. (You can probably see me shifting to “crap, this was not the interview I prepped!” but the result was memorable.)

The purpose of the Trump/Bukele press conference is to spread fear among everyone who disagrees with Trump

It’s not downplaying to emphasize that fear is the point, a very large part of it -that’s how totalitarian governments work!

Therefore, don’t run around like a chicken with your head cut off.

You gotta be kidding me. No one should be forced to create an account on X to boost Elon Musk’s numbers just so they can get info about the Social Security benefits they paid for.

The SSA’s shift to Elon Musk’s X comes as the agency plans to cut its regional office workforce by roughly 90 percent, WIRED has learned.

It has been 18 days since we learned that those involved in Signalgate recklessly endangered the lives of American pilots.

The fact that there has been no Congressional investigation is an abomination.

This should outrage every single Member of Congress.

Did you know you can get more characters in Bluesky (if using Deck.Blue) if you hyperlink your URLs? All you need to use are brackets and parentheses? Pretty cool feature I learned from @debbieohi.com

Check out her video

Bonus Hint: You can also use the Hashtag button in Deck.blue too!

A win for truth and history: A National Park Service page(removed by Musk) on the Underground Railroad has been restored to prominently feature Harriet Tubman, after her image and quote were removed earlier this year. Now, her legacy as a fearless champion for freedom has rightfully been restored. ✊

The President does not have the authority to destroy a federal agency. That's why we're taking action with our co-plaintiff @afscme.bsky.social. #ForOurLibraries (1/3)

I've literally been thinking about this all day.
It’s no problem when BIPOC folks were erased from government sites, immigrants are being terrorized & disappeared & the federal government is being disbanded at breakneck speed—

But let these rich White men start losing money on the stock market & there’s talk already about “stopping him.”

Is it relevant that America’s literal origin story is that a people went to war over an unaccountable authority imposing an unreasonable tax on them. (and that tax was an import tax, a tariff)

It seems relevant
