They did not call me for comment, but here’s my official one (feel free to quote me): As if. Btw this is one of the more idiotic pieces I have read of late, a particularly dumb straight person’s media version of Hunting Wives.

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps:

- It’s ‘voilà,’ not ‘wallah!’
- It’s ‘a lot,’ not ‘alot.’
- It’s ‘further ado,’ not ‘farther adieu.’
- It’s ‘flesh out,’ not ‘flush out.’
- It’s ‘sneak peek,’ not ‘sneak peak.’

No worries if not!!!

“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.”

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.

My 2025 retrospective has two distinct halves: before and after my 42nd birthday at the end of May.

That's when I decided to get serious about my mental and physical health. I stopped drinking. Started taking a new medication.

These past six months have been so restorative for me. More in 26.

Grim that in 2020 we could have gone down a very different social-democratic road but 35-45% of US society experienced a momentary slowdown of treats and in response went bugfuck insane

Did AI write the AI bill?
The bill's full name is The Republic Unifying Meritocratic Performance Advancing Machine Intelligence by Eliminating Regulatory Interstate Chaos Across American Industry Act, and looks like it's got a little bit of every bad tech policy idea of the past half decade in it 🧵

Between furlough, a week in Mexico, and this extended end of year break, I've been off more than I've worked this past quarter. I'm going to need to lock in next year to get stuff done.

Rascal is loaded up with 100mg of Trazodone (which would put me to sleep for days) and still running around the house like a crazy dog. Good luck to the groomer!
