We are all going to have to learn to be candles in the darkness of fascism and knowledge and community education is an incredibly bright light

There are so many ways we is individuals and the smaller communities can fight back against what seems to be a all encompassing foe and one of them is to educate as as many people as you can when they come to you to be that voice that people can trust and will listen to.

A whole lot of people are just now waking up to the reality of what the Democratic Party has become and for others they’re cognitive dissonance is still making it impossible for them to understand what they are cheering for at this point because it is nothing more than the team to them.

If holding members of your party accountable for their anti-Democratic and unconstitutional actions such as supporting death squads and enabling a genocide collapses the party that’s an issue with doing things that were unethical and illegal not the voters who said they wouldn’t vote for criminality

A protester was hit by a car tonight while attempting to cross Alameda outside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. DHS officers immediately rendered aid until paramedics could arrive. A bunch of masked SRT assholes also came running out for no apparent reason and set the crowd off

If you see 'ICE OUT' towels at the Super Bowl, they came from a coalition of artists, musicians and community organizers who handed out more than 25,000 towels protesting the actions of ICE.

During his Administration, Hurricane Maria knocked out power to 1.5 million people in Puerto Rico and it didn’t get restored for ABOUT A YEAR! It was the largest blackout in U.S. history. This should be line one of any hurricane recovery political coverage. www.vox.com/identities/2...

Bro literally came out and said “it’s our labor and culture that has always made the Americas great: y’all are just the beneficiaries of slave owners from sea to shining sea,” and I am here for it.
It was transforming the biggest NFL stage in the world into a sugar cane plantation that did it for me.

Like, the multiple layers of turning an American icon into a plantation and highlighting the history of exploitation of Black and Brown bodies by the NFL and American colonialism simultaneously?

As myself and others within the academic and research world have been clearly pointing out this has all been counterinsurgency, not actual on the ground changes
Elite media is helping to amplify that counter insurgency propaganda in place of the reality that nothing on the ground here has changed
NEW: The Trump admin certainly put on a show last week about changing tactics in Minnesota after ICE agents killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA nurse.

Trump even suggested it's time for "a softer touch."

Except residents say nothing has changed. At all. www.huffpost.com/entry/ice-mi...

Two weeks after Alex Pretti’s killing, federal agents have shown no signs of backing down. The resistance definitely hasn't.

Bottom line: "Consuming as a form of entertainment a game that causes human beings to suffer brain damage is wrong."

I went to one game in my undergrad in Michigan, but my heart literally lurched each time someone took a hit. I could never sit through the games on tv, even.

One of the best examples of racial exceptionalism clouding basic cognitive function on the part of a subset of the US commentariat was when the NYT ran a rare story about the IDF shooting children in the head and evidenced this with actual MRIs and X-Rays and people still denied this was possible.

He was actually exactly who I thought he was: "Justified Hierarchy" was always just a tacit argument in favour of natural hierarchies, which is a fascizing notion. A lot of us were critical of this.
We have to face up to Chomsky being a liar who presented a face that wasn’t him & beliefs that weren’t his. He wasn’t for an egalitarian society as a megawealthy person. That’s absurd on its face. He wasn’t for Palestine rolling with Zionists. He had a masquerade. He wasn’t who you thought.
