It's poverty porn and influencers create it because they get clicks and revenue while appearing to be altruistic. A truly concerned and honest person would offer help without filming it.

This shouldn’t be necessary. I’m not celebrating it. It reminds me of that “look at that dutiful man, carrying his grandfather up 5 flights of stairs because there is no elevator in the subway,” vibes.
Watch this and suddenly your own problems won’t feel so heavy. The good news: people stepped up and raised about $246 k+ on GoFundMe to help this woman and her baby.

There really are good people out there.

In addition to being mad about the ads, I would be even madder about this ad, specifically — an advertisement that invades your kitchen to make you feel like you're *inside the show Pluribus*.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt commuted the sentence to life in prison at 9:59

ZOMG LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE SHALE

Okay, so the Burgess Shale is a fossil bed in British Columbia that contains a whole bunch of fossils of weirdass creatures from the Cambrian era, over 500 million years ago. But the great thing about the shale is that it has fossilized SOFT PARTS!

I’m trying to have empathy and understanding for the people feeling betrayed by this pedo government. Because it is power. Its patriarchy. It is what the state does. It harms people. This world is turning me into an anarchist, because I am not shocked or surprised. I’m sick of statecraft.
