In Summer 2021, I put a pinhole solar camera on the tower of St John's college in Cambridge, UK to image the Sun's path. This was the result!

Each separate arc is a day, and over time you slowly reveal the pattern that the Sun follows over the course of a year 🌞🔭🧪

Bad portraits of non-rich people.

A lot of phonetically rendered accents. A lot of comments on coarseness and ugliness, often assumed to be inborn rather than the result of worse access to healthy food, dentistry, skincare etc. 5/

Why? Who is this meant to be good for? Nobody wants your shit AI books, never mind 8,000 in a year. Just a terrible idea and a horrible road the publishing industry is heading down.

This is an ignorant and toxic and wrong-minded framing in both the short term and the long term, in every particular and as a whole, failed before it even begins as either strategy and tactic, and is I believe the core reason Democratic leadership has failed us so badly.

When you post "AI"-generated content, you're making a statement, whether you intend to or not.

You're telling us that you don't care about artists, original work, or even the very planet we live on.

Ultimately, this is the message you're sharing with the world:

"Nothing important matters to me."

Heads up everyone - this means they hate how well the blocklists work, which is amazing. But also time to be discerning about which lists you subscribe to.
This is the next phase that Kiwi Farms members have stated they will do - constructing look-alike blocklists and then adding popular trans people to them after the fact, once the blocklist is seeded in the community. Make sure any block list you use says who runs it.
Do you know who is running this list? Reason for asking is they copied this account's lists verbatim, but do not say who is running their account.

Went to a BBQ place yesterday and the waitress shouted back to the kitchen "It's for a Mat Salleh (White foreigner)" and I'm still processing what this could possibly mean.

As an American Muslim with a foreign spouse and children, hearing my mother who voted for Trump say "He didn't mean them" re the Muslim ban.... So depressing

Apparently, blocking people here means you are completely removed from their feed and vice versa.

A *real* hard block.

Just FYI
Folks, beware of invading trolls. Report them, block them, use blocklists.

Yelling at them is pointless. It's what they want.

I find myself tapping reply on an insightful post, just to end up restating it (but worse) and deleting my reply. The backwards swipe of shame.

As a White Muslim, I've heard some variation on "He doesn't mean YOU" a dozen times since Trump's first Muslim ban. Yes but he DOES mean my visible minority wife and children.

Only 37% of eligible Americans voted in all three federal elections from 2018-2022. Why single out Muslim voters, who make up around 1% of the electorate?
