Hi to all the new followers!

I'm a queer author with two novels out: PROUD PINK SKY is set in the world's first gay state, while THE GIDDY DEATH is all about polyamory and nonbinary life.

I also love make up! The more colour the better!

If you’re ever feeling down about yourself, remember that there are people who dedicate their entire lives to dismantling democracy and making vulnerable people less safe.

You could do absolutely nothing every single day and still be doing more good for the world than they are.

Say you have an entire shelf of physical books you've yet to read. Do you:

A. Diligently work your way through said books, feeling a sense of pride that you're finally clearing the shelf.

Or

B. Buy half a dozen e-books to read instead.

No prizes for guessing which option I've gone with... 🔥📚

If I’d known how 5G would allow people to constantly stream loud videos on trains, in queues, and across cafes I’d have been tempted to join the conspiracy theorists opposing it years ago.

Noise is the new cigarette smoke.

Hey everyone, I honestly don't know why this needs saying by the year 2025 but can you please not spoil the endings of shows that only just came out?

It's a pointlessly mean thing to do.

"Of all the books I’ve had the opportunity to review, 'What a Fish Looks Like' is one of my absolute favourites."

When a reviewer as thoughtful and cogent as @redfernjon.bsky.social writes that, I pay attention.

Check out the review we just published of @syr.bsky.social's debut novella!

After more than 150 hours spent, I finally finished Baldur’s Gate 3! It’s an incredible game. 9/10.

It loses a point for the subtitles, which inexplicably use hyphens instead of dashes.

That bothered me more than it should have.

I like Proud Pink Sky by @redfernjon.bsky.social 🩷
It is a Sci-Fi, Spec Fic standalone, set in Berlin and 'the first gay state'.
I loved all the alternative history and 'pamphlet' excerpts advertising the gay state all thru the story. Brilliant!

Why are people surprised by open hypocrisy?

Hypocrisy is a display of power.

Does the servant get the same treatment as the master? Do they obey the same standards? The same laws?

Shame won’t stop someone who wants to be your master. Because shame supposes you are equals.

That is not the goal.
