For almost four decades, Nancy Pelosi has served the American people and worked to make our country better. No one was more skilled at bringing people together and getting legislation passed – and I will always be grateful for her support of the Affordable Care Act.

VA Senate president pro tem absolutely rips MD Senate president for opposing redistricting.

Notably, VA Dems win massively *after* pushing for a new map.

And that's how it's supposed to work: There has to be an election after an amendment is proposed so voters can weigh in before it can proceed.

Again, these maps have got to be causing a massive panic in any state where they're considering gerrymandering.
“.. There were no counties or cities (as of writing) that moved right relative to four years ago. On average, they instead moved 13 points to the left.”

Last year after the election, I reflected: "When we fight, we win—but sometimes the fight takes awhile."

Last night, we saw Democratic victories across our nation. I am so proud of these enthusiastic, principled, inspirational leaders who will continue to fight for our nation, ideals, and progress.

Voters of color understood the assignment. And make no mistake, after 2024, Black voters said they were “resting”, not sleeping!

And also every single county in Virginia shifted blue, two statewide posts in Georgia went blue (for the first time in two decades), three Pennsylvania judicial races went blue, a Maine vote went blue, a Mississippi state senate seat went blue ....
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

BREAKING: As the holiday season approaches, Trump’s transportation department says it will begin forcing flight cancellations at 40 major airports due to the government shutdown.

Republicans control the White House, the House, and the Senate. This is their shutdown.

Anyway 2026 is inevitably going to be framed as “whoa are Dems lefty or centrist” when really the answer is just “yes.”

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Big
Historical perspective on Virginia election results-

Abigail Spanberger is on track to win by the largest margin of any Democratic candidate for Governor since 1961, before the integration-era party realignment.

Democrats will win their largest House of Delegates majority since 1987.

A BIG night.
