The Shield (2002) ends with polymorphously corrupt killer LAPD detective Vic Mackey thinking he won - with the walls closing in on being prosecuted for his crimes, he's sold out his allies for an immunity deal (and a job) with the feds that disgusts even his slightly-less-shitty cop colleagues...

it rules that, objectively, ana valens deactivating is the exact same scenario as parker molloy, save that valens wasn't being an asshole, but there's a handful of people at best who are willing to say it. one wonders what trait might distinguish valens from molloy. we may just never know.

I find it incredibly dishonest to try to act like the animal crossing take-haver is just somebody who went “why though?” and said and did literally nothing else and received a deluge of malicious harassment over nothing when that is verifiably not what fucking happened.
