If they r going to renege on the New Deal,we renege on federalism. our taxes pay for us&our lives or we don’t pay them-period. If the Constitution is dismantled-we don’t fund it. We r fighting for survival-no hyperbole.

He is a computer safety researcher.

You know what the word is for people who negotiate with fascists?
Fascists.
Read every word & share with everyone you know. This is real life here in Chicago. Americans need to know this grotesque reality & stand with us.

Same. That they did this before our biggest and most cherished holidays. My heart been broken over and over again since last November. My soul has been feeling sick for a year and dude has 3 to go. I gotta take a moment
I wish everyone a peaceful evening 🕊️

I’m not burying my head in the sand, there are some horrifying things happening all around us and it’s hard to find peace, but we all need a break from the chaos and I hope you all can have that break. Enough rambling. Take care 🩵✌️

Let’s be plainer: the GOP is afraid of pissing off the rich, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the rich, and no one gives two fucks what the American people need.
Unfortunately still true bsky.app/profile/adam...
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

It’s all fuckin horrifying but yeah falling for a spyder in a dark horse costume is def a poisoned ring needle in a sea of assassins.
i think an especially depressing part of this whole saga is that "we need to win primaries so establishment dems are replaced by true progressives" is a thing we've done before but one of the progressives we worked hard to install over the establishment pick was fetterman

The US Supreme Court ruled to let people starve. SCOTUS is about to gut the Voting Rights Act. Federal judges are putting soldiers in our streets. Since the Fall of America,we have realized there is no justice in Trump’s post Democracy America.
Since the start of the Trump administration, the Justice Department has lost thousands of experienced attorneys and filled only a fraction of the vacancies amid hiring freezes, delays, and a shortage of qualified candidates.
Justice Department struggles as thousands exit — and few are replaced
The Justice Department has lost thousands of experienced attorneys and backfilled a fraction of the open jobs, in part because of a lack of qualified candidates.

This deal to continue the march to America 1926 is the guillotine coming down. It’s orphanages, workhouses, debtors prisons&sweatshops full of children. We don’t have Railroad Barons; we got Tech Barons in guilded ballrooms, while the elected elite look for fresh young meat to do in marble bathrooms
This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Y’all, instead of freaking ourselves out, why don’t we call MoCs AND state/national DNC and tell them to hold the line tomorrow?

(Also remember the house is still closed, and offering reasonable solutions that are clearly going to be rejected can still be good politics)

Could been us. Except Putin owns us now
This could have been us, with flow-on effects on emissions, the cost of living, balance of payments, and air pollution deaths. But the regime killed EV policy.
