To be clear, we're in such bad shape because the U.S. regime has been a detention regime for a very long time. Now the long-term crisis is getting exponentially worse, with funding already allocated to do incalculable harm. But not all the necessary materials are at hand yet, and we can still act.

It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

theres no special knowledge one gets as a senator that makes you a better president imo. maybe if youre a hustler like lbj, but he's an outlier. the senate is where emotion goes to die. if aoc has the juice she should swing for the big prize, imo.
