As much as I didn't like Rodgers barking at his teammates every play, I really think his attention to detail and how he held people accountable for their mistakes masked some of LaFleur's shortcomings.
I think LaFleur is a good HC, but some of the finer coaching points have been lacking (and they haven't exactly been running a ton of complex stuff). If they want to turn it around this year, they need to operate cleaner & take a good, hard look at the positional coaching in the offseason.

I counted 5 dropped passes, with the potential for a 6th (I need to look at it from a few angles to truly determine my thoughts).
If we're keeping it to just the 5, they accounted for a total of 115 lost yards. Two drops came on 3rd down, 1 drop came on 4th down.

I'm sad that I called this.
We’re 7 months in, and “Pentagon plans military deployment in Chicago” is a headline in the Washington Post. And because it’s city number three, we’re already numbing to it.

If you read this about any other democracy in the world, you’d conclude that it was well on the road to a dictatorship.
Pentagon plans military deployment in Chicago as Trump eyes crackdown
President Donald Trump said Chicago is his next likely target to crack down on urban crime. Military planning has been ongoing for weeks, officials say.

I spend too much time wondering *how* the Brewers are doing this and not enough just on *what* they’re doing. And that’s this:

If you were a young kid and attended last night’s game, you’d walk away from the ballpark thinking baseball is the absolute coolest thing.

That’s good for baseball, imo!

Solid list!
I’ll have to read this to confirm, but off the top of my head:

1) “This is not Detroit, man!”
2) Nate Poole
3) The Love Boat
4) Gary Anderson
5) Metrodome collapse

I genuinely wonder how the Guard troops feel about their deployment. Did they feel like it was time well served, or if it seemed like a waste of their time? I think if I felt like I was being used as a political show piece, I'd be pissed.

I want to add a small but suggestive experience to this. In a recent piece I did for @newyorker.com about ICE arrests of Democratic officials and lawmakers, we got a comment from the White House, in which a spokesperson said that the magazine was “encouraging lawless behavior” by reporting on it.
