Probably misses his old glasses
Who knows if it’ll matter but it would be really funny if a bunch of Dems lost primaries for taking AIPAC money.

“It was an easy way to raise money fast!” say former Congressional Representatives

PROUD to announce that my application to be Lead on the mayor’s Arts and Culture Subcommittee on Drawing the Human Ass in a Cartoon Style has been REJECTED
New York City helped my mother become the artist she is today. The next generation deserves a City Hall that lifts up tomorrow's artists as well.

Remove Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries from leadership yesterday

At least the centrists are stupid slash beholden to the money enough that I think they are going to fully alienate their base for nothing

Funny bit to pull leadership from very safe seats (ie NY) where the most effective DSA organization exist. Well anyway! www.axios.com/2025/10/09/z...
Scoop: Mamdani ally weighs challenging Hakeem Jeffries
Just talking about a potential campaign could drive a further wedge between Mamdani — the democratic socialist in line to be New York's next mayor — and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.)

every single person claiming to yearn for this would kill themselves if they were subjected to the tyranny of the 56k modem for one hour
This is doing numbers on social media right now and it's so depressing how people truly yearn for this shit and want to preserve that feeling indefinitely like a mausoleum of false memories.

Honestly can’t believe how bad the Children of Men book was compared to my rewatch of the movie. The ratio is off the charts

You “earn” party leadership by raising the most money and there’s a lot of money in NYC next question

In 2024, Harris, the DNC, and the SuperPACs scrupulously followed Shor's advice to achieve a decline across every metric and every demographic. Urban, rural, college, non-college, young, old—you name it and Shor's mealy-mouthed centrism produced a loss.

So of course Dems still listen to him.
If you’re mad about Dems avoiding talking about DC, you can blame the Democratic quants, as demonstrated in this memo from David Shor’s Blue Rose Research

Honestly at this point I’d take straight up envelope exchanges over the soft but very obvious corruption we have in this country

Jeffries, Booker, Schumer, Goldman, Torres, etc: C’mon the AIPAC money I take will NEVER let me say anything positive about this guy. We all know how this works!!!
Asked how Mamdani could secure his endorsement, Hakeem Jeffries replies: "We had a very candid and constructive and community-centered conversation a few weeks ago—before he went off to Africa."

I would say he demonstrated his appeal to a broader electorate by winning a democratic primary by double-digits a couple months ago but that’s just me
Hakeem Jeffries again declines to endorse Zohran Mamdani, saying: "He's going to have to demonstrate to a broader electorate - including in many of the neighborhoods that I represent in Brooklyn - that his ideas can actually be put into reality."

Legitimately one of my favorite TV episodes of all time
If there's one episode of TV I wish I could force everyone to watch and internalize, it's the 30 Rock where Liz, who has always seen herself as a bullied nerd underdog, finds out she's actually been hated all her life because she's mean.

Penn says Mamdani “is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values” and advises portraying him as having a “limited” connection “to basic American values and culture.”

Oh wait, that’s Penn talking about Barack Obama in 2008. thehill.com/homenews/sta...

First-preference votes for Andrew Cuomo in 2025: 361,840

He found his voters, despite a lousy campaign. Mamdani grew the electorate.
