The older you get, the harder it is to improve bat speed, coordination, command, and athleticism.
If you want to play at the next level, whatever that is for you, attack those areas while you're young and you can still make big gains.
And don’t neglect the mental side. It's just as important.

Tina Charles said on Sue Bird’s podcast recently that play in the W has gotten LESS physical than it used to be. And the idea that physicality in the women’s game needs to be reigned in is rooted in very old sexist tropes that said women shouldn’t play sports bc they are too weak to do so. /fin
