The best way to describe the holidays with little kids (during which public schools are closed for -eighteen days-) is whipsawing between moments you know you will treasure for the rest of your life and needing to be committed to a psych ward immediately, sometimes within the span of five minutes.

The #1 movie when you were ten years old is how your 2026 is going to go.

(A laugh can be a very powerful thing. Why, sometimes in life it’s the only weapon we have).

The president is an indefensible human being, the very kind of cruel, impulse-driven, violent and morally debased person that society exists to restrain and, failing that, to shun. Instead, we have twice elected him as our political and symbolic leader.

It’s hard to know where the bad faith ends and the double-blink stupidity begins but would someone please explain to the esteemed Lt. Gov of Indiana why it is not possible for more than one party to be represented in the House delegations from Delaware and Vermont?

After 2024 there was much screaming at Dems to get on the right side of “80-20” issues like trans women in sports. Here we have Rs nuking generations of progress on childhood disease at the behest of a literal insane person and his death cult. This issue touches every single person in America and
This regressive move will literally kill people. It's making kids' liver cancer great again. And it's a sign of more harm to come.

Hmm remind me what Senate Dems did when they had the opportunity to pass the Dream Act in 2021.
Immigration advocate: Pass the Dream Act, and give Dreamers the peace of mind they need. ¡Sí, se puede! ¡Sí, se puede! ¡Sí, se puede! ¡P'alante!

Grassroots resistance swells in the wake of the immigration crackdown in Chicago
Chicago is no longer the main focus of the federal immigration crackdown. For one neighborhood group, the intense enforcement activity was a test of resistance tactics they developed eight years ago.
