Trying to enjoy old black and white episodes of The Twilight Zone but when they were enhanced for high def TV their classic noir quality got overpowered by whatever you’d call that over lit aesthetic ‘80s daytime color soaps had.
I liked the gauzy vagueness of standard broadcast monochrome TV.

Where can I see this Joyce Carol Oates burn on Nelo Smuk?
I’m seeing lots of great riffs about it, but not the original source.
Did she roast him on his own website?

Fun Fact: The cast of Beverly Hills 90210, in their late twenties and early thirties when the show started with them playing high school sophomores, had to have an on-set coach to help them re-learn how to smile without showing their crows feet.

I’m starting to think that the reason people think the Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything is because the Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything.

Back on the Bad Site in 2015 I posted the perfect picture of K*m Dav*s standing in front of the big letters on the County building where her head was blocking the “O”.
Since I deleted my account there, I can’t find it now. So you’ll just have to imagine, since it would be relevant again today.

Life is like a box of chocolates…
I like how the “adult content” label sometimes hides close up full penetration with a Hillary Duff song playing in the background and sometimes hides a bearded dude in full body thermal underwear sipping hot tea and reading Thoreau out loud.

I called Gallego a few hours ago. Implored him to stand strong on help for ACA premiums.
Obviously I made the difference.
You can feel like that too. Your senators numbers are easy to find at senate.gov

Human civilizations of any size always have conflicts simmering between themselves, but they don't always lead to war. When some new advantage emerges, things can change.
The new thing just before WWI: Industrialization
The new thing now: Mass misinformation…

A paranormal investigation show with Gen Z people looking through an abandoned Sears?
Yeah it was haunted when it was open for business before you were born. By the living people who worked there. Saw it myself.
Sometimes you would have to tell them to clock out and go into the light - ie outside.

Watching #Frankenstein and it instantly reminded me that when the wealthy become bored with the privilege of getting material goods first, it is our duty to stop and ask what then they are trading amongst themselves as a commodity instead?

I just had a nap that fully disconnected me from time, space, and reality. When I woke up it took me nearly a full minute to understand where and when and who I was. I sat upright and had taken a drink of water from a cup on the coffee table before all the pieces came back together.

Do Spanish speakers in Amarillo, Texas, correctly pronounce the name of the town as “ah-mah-REE-yo” or do they just give into the “am-uh-rill-oh” lazy-tongued American-English southern-drawl speak?
I’m watching a tornado documentary and just cringing every time English speakers say it out loud.

Mamdani's line that billionaires spent more to oppose his candidacy than he proposed to tax them really says it all.
Like a company that shuts down a profitable location as soon as it unionizes. The principle of maintaining control is more important.

I think it’s really great that NYC accepted my vote for Zohran Mamdani… from Arizona.
On my Arizona ballot I just wrote “Comrade Mamdani!” in the corner and George Soros sent a private jet to pick it up after Maricopa County counted it.
NYC counts the ones with exclamation points! twice.
