With SANDBAGGERS now on Amazon Prime, I present The Cut-Glass Index, a ranking of the series' posh accents. We begin at #10: Jeff Ross. Cartoonish American accent, vital as a foil, but a deep blow to the character. A golden retriever gallumping through the hedge rows amid the beagles. Score: 0/10Jef
Jerry Brown must have changed his number several times to duck Nuzzi's texts.

In 2016, the Apocalypse World 2nd Ed campaign ended at $149,681. We'd like to beat that!

At $149,682, we'll get with the original authors and update three classic playbooks:
• The Faceless by Bret Gillan
• The News by Josh Savoie
• The Show by Elliot Baker

Matt Belloni is Louella Parsons for people with MBAs.
They really thought they could confidently publish a take as objectively wrong as “Matt Belloni is the Cassandra of current day Hollywood” and nobody would notice because of how bad the rest of the stuff they published today was www.nytimes.com/2025/11/16/b...

The most important question an RPG scenario designer can ask is whether the pages a GM needs while running a session need to look the same as the pages read between sessions.

KEEPER: Dread is a higher bar to clear than terror or revulsion and few can match Perkins in delivering it. So many gracefully sinister touches and all built upon the Atlas-like shoulders of Maslany. What I wouldn't give to see him tackle some cosmic horror.

One of the only constructivist churches in the world, in Kouvola, Finland, is scheduled for demolition because the declining population of the town no longer matches up with the cost of maintenance.

No one has explained to me how Aussies expect to throw shrimp on an electric barbie.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Our apartment neighbor put out her Halloween candy early this morning. We have our own in the house, but my wife bought it and I don't know where it is.

Can I eat the candy my neighbor put out for tonight's children right now if I will essentially replace it with our own candy later tonight?

Every LLM reply is a hallucination. Sometimes, those hallucinations are correct.
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

KISS was my first concert: L.A., late '70's, for their album Dynasty. I was in second grade. My mom took me and my date, Jenny Puglisi. We sat high in the Forum, stage right. I loved the pyro and sang every word.

RIP, Ace.

Everyone bemoaning the decline of RSS in response to this announcement has been around long enough to have listened to podcasts when they were just audio. This is about the video versions. Unless you were RSSing the YouTube versions, the Internet Of Yore still works.

Although I doubt it was intentional, Draw Steel is one of the few RPGs built to support Fortune at the Beginning, at least in combat. Since no one misses in a fight, every roll just produces a fictional prompt to be narrated.

RPG scenario design will never improve as long as designers believe that GMs won't use their text as written. The death of System Matters makes them believe that the text will be substantially changed anyway. They don't think through their designs because they believe the audience won't either.
