Soon you won't find coffee at any store. It has been grounded.
Very turkeys voting for Christmas here.

If the US had Britain’s level of journalistic accountability Karoline Leavitt would be out on the street begging with a cup by Tuesday morning.
I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.

And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.

What does OpenAI offer the world?
“authors & publishers who filed a lawsuit against the Sam Altman-led firm have secured access to internal Slack messages… discussing the mass deletion of a pirated books dataset… A NY district court ordered OpenAI to hand over the communications regarding data deletion”

Musk is obviously mentally deficient but he has rare talent for exploiting his cult. New pay deal based on sales volume & share price lays out an easy road to becoming a trillionaire by pumping out faulty product at a loss and letting the stock pump via perpetual tomorrow’s profit.

MBS is a uniquely unintelligent man.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has a fantastical vision for a new way of living. But The Line, his plan for a vertical city in a vast mirrored wall, is rapidly being undone by the laws of physics and finance.

Here is an #FTEdit 🧵 of eight mind-bending facts about this moonshot in the sand 👇

I’m attempting to bench 300lbs.
Marathon runners have started sending save the dates for their races in hopes of drawing a crowd to what they see as a life event as big as a wedding or baby shower.

Marathon runners are treating their races like weddings and baby showers with save-the-dates.

Self-described ‘conservationists’ always fail to see the forest (global warming) from the trees (deforestation, somewhat ironically in this particular instance).
The reaction to the proposal to let the forestry commission build some solar farms is honestly insane. archive.ph/OEQw7

Still not drastic enough but good to see government explicitly rejecting the faux-economics of social housing targets as a means to providing homes for working people. Demolish any & all barriers to building more homes, of any tenure.

Trump has turbocharged republican eagerness for deficits. This puts money into the private sector, and it’s not going to stop. It’s the dollar, not the stock market, that will keep heading south.
It is remarkable that the US stock market hasn't collapsed yet. Between the tariff shit, the racist immigration shit (bye bye joint ventures!), and the "hey, lets make fraud legal" movement, the long term prospects are super grim.
(Chinese companies generally report at least some financial information on a quarterly basis)

(Also this idea is terrible, getting rid of audited quarterly disclosures would absolutely raise the risk premium for the US equity market compared to peers around the world)

‘Equally wrong’ is a bold claim when the killer’s name was literally Jihad.
It is wrong to blame an attack on a synagogue on Yom Kippur on Jewish support for Israel, and it is equally wrong to blame it on Muslim immigration to the UK. We can't give in to mutual hate. Be better, everyone.
