UN Special Committee has concluded what Israel is doing is consistent with genocide. When will the arms embargo start? The US will ignore this of course.

As you read the news today, watch who phrases the news as an "illegal invasion and regime change" versus "bringing democracy". It'll tell you everything you need to know about the news source you're reading, and frankly should decide whether you ever read them seriously again.

Rubio is claiming that they did not need Congress permission because it was a law enforcement mission. The US is behaving as a global police state, extending its own arbitrary legal decisions to the whole world.

This is not a problem just for Venezuela.

People being like, "But Venezuelans are happy about Maduro being gone!" have the memories of goldfish. IN 2003, the narrative was that Iraqis celebrated the U.S. invasion and capture of Saddam.

Whether they were happy or not, invading Iraq was still the wrong thing to do.

Venezuela was a test.

The world failed.

All the establishment war hawks, the same ones who supported the failed War on Terror, have come out with tepid support for Trump illegally bombing Venezuela and kidnapping Maduro.

I’m saying that the soil in the US for Palestinian anti-colonialism is infertile. If you haven't figured out by now that most people are largely indifferent to a fight between two bands of non-christian foreigners who’ve been at it for 80 years, nothing I can say is going to enlighten you.

There are US citizens who spent 2024 mourning multiple loved ones in Gaza.
It isn’t sufficiently unpopular, when taking place thousands of miles away in another country without our direct involvement (I’m talking boots on the ground, not financing) to trigger a populist uprising against it in the United States. Trump declared a ceasefire and everyone forgot about it.
