I went for the iPad Pro in the end. Couldn’t bring myself to buy a laptop because these just look cooler, even though I know a laptop would be more functional. I’m a form over function guy. Even splashed out on the nano-texture screen for all the bright outdoor work in the sun that I never do.

Whats going on with ashes this year? I’ve walked around Liverpool and seen so many people with ashes. I was raised Catholic and we had ashes, but they were usually gone by lunchtime. These people are still walking around with full crosses on their foreheads at 8pm. Is it cool now or something?

We do have an issue with white working class children. It’s not that they aren’t being appointed because they are white or working class; it’s about low ambition and aspiration. It’s generational. I see it every day. Reform and others are tapping into that and exploiting it. Look over there.

How many white working class have lost out because they were white and working class, and how many have got jobs because they were Black, gay, etc.? I suspect it’s close to zero. It’s a useful grievance myth. The irony is that he is almost certainly where he is in Reform because of his ethnicity.

The GB News editorial director told me that their broadcasting Lucy White's call for all Muslims to leave the UK to go to a Muslim country if they wanted to practice that faith was part of a "fair and balanced" debate.

Just binged the Top Model documentary while the plumber was round sorting out the plumbing. That show was some crazy shit, and Tyra is as mad as ever. It was very much of its time, I guess, though I never really watched it.
