When I was a kid, the super bowl ads were all beer, cola, and Doritos. Then it was dot-coms. A couple years ago it was all crypto. This year is all AI slop, surveillance, and online betting. What a grim reflection of the world the tech oligarchs have wrought.

Interesting that the Hydro Viper helmet is a completely different design from the one Hasbro is releasing in Classified (and from the vintage). Looks more "modernized."

When I was a kid just getting excited about drawing I found tracing paper FASCINATING. But my dad, the best artist I knew, discouraged using it bc I wasn't expressing my own ideas or creating anything new. He would have DISOWNED me if I used GenAI. He already thought TRACING PAPER was stealing.

There was a Pog kiosk at the Brickyard mall in Chicago in 94, the guy who ran it would ask my friends (who were like 12)to watch the business while he went to the bathroom or got food.
