So, on my mom’s side, one of her branches, through my Nana is the Dugas family.
Turns out they were on the very first ship of Acadians that came to Louisiana in 1765, along side Beausoleil (who I mentioned last time, was an outlaw alongside my dad’s ancestor Pierre Guidry).

So, through this recent (re)digging into family history, I found out that there are less records of my ancestors in Nova Scotia than other Acadians cause we were a “vagabond family” that didn’t stay in major villages, electing instead to live in more mixed communities with the Mi’kmaq, like LaHave.

I think an important indictment on the ability/quality of GenAI is that none of their multiple ads were made by AI.
