My kid lost his glasses in the lazy river at Great Wolf Lodge yesterday. The only available "customer service" was an AI chat bot. I even went down in person & there are only kiosks to talk to a bot. I am never seeing those glasses again.
I work in procurement and our vendors have been rolling out AI systems and... it has been a disaster. The AI gets everything wrong and I have to navigate a labyrinthian telephone menu to get to a human to fix it.
This has big "We'll colonize the moon in 10 years!" Musk energy.

The Virginia legislature today passed four constitutional amendments, all by day 3 of 2026 session:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.
These will all go to 2026 referendums.

I am confused about how the federal government is freezing child care funds. CCAP is part of the TANF Block Grant that is paid as a lump sum (block) annually to states & it pays for lots of stuff - MFIP, child care, work support, Pre-K, & more. It's not like SNAP that is a federal pass through.

I broke my thumb taking off socks & dislocated my shoulder while sleeping.
