Not afraid to take the path of maximum resistance. Too loud. Habitually overdressed. More responsible than you think.

People with EVs: what home 240v charger do you recommend?

I have a Nissan Leaf. I would like to be able to turn charging on & off on a timer or remotely. I have an uninsulated, unheated garage. I don't want to pay $500.

I'm a bike lane and I am coming for your parking!

Ugh! A prime truck is blocking the bike lane!

Both are scary!

Reformation Sunday makes me happy because of the promise that we as individuals, the church, and the world can re-form and learn and grow and be better.

Biking up Summit today there was a messy car crash - burning car in someone's yard, two smashed cars in the street. Fire trucks & ambulances. The speed necessary would be nearly impossible if Summit were already redesigned. #carsrcoffins

8 pumpkins in the rain really tested my brakes getting back down the hill.

14 years ago I was deciding whether to go to my midwife appointment or take a nap. Good thing I went to the appointment because Elliot was born less than 3 hours later!

Happy 14 years to my ever challenging, surprising, and tenacious youngest child.

Sweden is great for many reasons but 1) there are silent cars on trains & busses that means exactly that and 2) even in regular trains anything above a whisper is considered very rude. No one would EVER play a video or music on their phone.
people playing music/videos on their phone speakers in public is more than just mildly annoying and is instead a leading indicator of the decline of community and empath
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

I am being so wholesome today! Played handbells at the early service, hanging laundry on the line, now I am making and canning cherry tomato jam and rhubarb.

ICYMI - SNAP benefits will be suspended Nov 1 due to the federal shutdown. Counties and Tribal Nations are no longer processing new applications.

1) Now is the time to donate money to your local food shelf.

2) If you need help still apply.

Not to be a pedant, but that is a parlay.

A duvet is a person who stubbornly refuses to change their course of action or opinion.
Not to be a pedant, but that’s a Matinee.

A duvet is when one wagers the winnings plus the initial stake of one bet on a subsequent wager, or engages in a series of such increased wagers.
Hate to contradict you my love, but that's a pince nez

A duvet is when a theatrical performance happens on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon

Got COVID vaccines for me & my kids today. There were no issues, lots of appointments at Walgreens, and as easy as it was in the before times.

I am on a 3-month leave from work due to stress & this is the first time since I was 15 yo that I just gave time. I have a job interview, a networking coffee, & a meeting with a career counselor this week, but this morning I am stunned by time. What to do? Laundry for starters I guess.
