A German-born professor I had in college was a kid during the Nazi regime and he was 1000% behind complete deplatforming of fascists.

Not only do liberal norms of "fairness", the "marketplace of ideas", the arc of the moral universe "bending toward justice", etc, fail in the fight against fascism, fascism is literally built to exploit them! "Whataboutism" is the damp ceiling that the mold grows in.
When confronted with normative claim "Don't publish fascist party cadre who have spent decades generating fascist propaganda", note that, "Ah but what about people who aren't fascist party cadre and who haven't spent decades generating fascist propaganda!" isn't a good rejoinder.
