Bless their heart. And please, when people so obviously tell you who they are believe them.

Polio virus found in the wastewater in Hamburg, Germany. This is wild type - much more likely to cause paralysis than the outbreak in New York State in 2022. (Estimated paralysis for 1 in 200 un-vaccinated infections.)

Wild-type polio detected in German sewage—this is *actual* polio, not vaccine-derived virus. This will probably be a one-off event, but it shows the real potential for polio reintroduction into under-vaccinated communities.

Scientists point to a long list of findings that emerged out of fundamental research, the type of studies the US government is cutting, and went on to change the world. Nature lists a few of their examples. 🧪

Ozempic, MRI machines and flat screen televisions all emerged out of fundamental research decades earlier — the very types of study being slashed by the US government.

I shaved my beard into my standard #Movember mustache. I came out of the bathroom to groans and yells of "No, no!", "Dad, why?!?", and "Seriously Dave?". My seven-year-old son's response made it all worth it. "Dad, you look like Nacho Libre!"

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

In 2013 my wife and I moved to Syracuse, NY from New Orleans. We stopped at Niagara Falls and we had always heard the Canadian side has better views. So without thinking we drove across the bridge with our two girls at the time in the car. ICE stopped us there - my wife's greencard had expired.
