But if this gets into an under vaccinated community, particularly schools where vaccination rates are below 75%, then we would likely see multiple paralysis cases. Fortunately polio transmission season is during the summer months.

If wild type polio jumps to the US there likely won't be much in New York City-region. The 2022 outbreak was widespread. Our group modeled about 10,000 infections. Most of the population is exposed already or vaccinated, so we would not expect many if any paralysis cases.

What does this mean? Throughout the EU and the US we use inactivated polio vaccine. It protects against paralysis and severe disease, but does not provide sterilizing immunity that would prevent infection.

The current ICE expansion is just that - an expansion. It is expanding on judicial practices and principles that have been established over decades. The precedence is already set.

If you don't test there are no cases Colin. Didn't you learn that during the pandemic when they taught epidemiology on Twitter?
