Most Hooklanders know the phrase 'to be tulled' - meaning to be caught between two worlds and at home in neither of them. It's usually used for people, I'm certainly one of the tulled folk, but it can also used for certain places. – Jeff Loden #VOH

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. I don’t think a lot of people on the right understand that a lot of people on the left regularly hear people on the left spout opinions we too think are ridiculous, annoying and buzz-killing too, only we don’t then decide it’s worth destroying democracy because Tara thinks bin bags are classist
