"I know - I'll just TAKE OFF the ankle monitor! Why has no one else thought of this before? I'M SO SMART."
Former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has been under house arrest for plotting a coup and assassinations of the president, vice president and chief justice.

He used a soldering iron on his ankle monitor and lied about that. Burn marks on its circumference betrayed him.

Now, he's in custody.
HE TRIED TO GET IT OFF USING A WELDER

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HE’S SO DUMB, HOW WAS HE ONCE PRESIDENT OMG

Happens so often that even if it's said from a genuine place, I can't help but doubt it.
"Old good new bad" is the prevailing mindset for far too many people, and it colors everything theys see.

It’s threads like this that make me better understand why “doesn’t look like a movie” does’t make sense to me.
It’s a matter of perspective.
I think there's a special dislike I have for people who keep saying things like "why do movies not look like movies", or "it looks like it was shot on a phone!", which a) is not true, b) demeaning and ignorant to people who work on films, and c) an excuse for only liking movies when you were 10.

I hate this sort of meme.

“The only difference between the parties is whether the power to destroy human civilization rests in the hands of leaders who think gays, women, and black people should have their rights acknowledged.”

Even if true, how is Rainbow B-52 not infinitely preferable?

Just keep this in mind when random users are arguing with you on the site formerly known as Twitter.
X has changed their policy and now you can see where the accounts are based.

Happy belated birthday to voice acting legend Daws Butler.

He was famous for voicing Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, and Huckleberry Hound.

Daws voiced Merlin the Magic Mouse, Nasty Canasta, Ralph Crumden, Ned Morton and Sam Cat in the #LooneyTunes shorts.

At this point anyone who still says "both parties are the same" should be taken about as seriously as anyone who still says the Earth is flat.

In fairness, there's a lot of new crap out there to mock. Things are gonna get put on the back burner for a while.
How the fuck did it take me this long to think of "The Bubba Trump Shrimp Company?" I must be getting slow in my old age.

Please continue making calls to Visa and Mastercard, because they are working alongside conservative legislators to crack down on free speech and expression!

A dual pronged offense requires a dual pronged defense!
#SaveSpeech

starting Nov 1st we're entering the holiday season, which is a big stress point for big businesses like Mastercard and Visa. These Paypros havent stopped cracking down on Adult Content, so we need to jump back into calling them in full force again!

Any company that tells its employees to "smile more" in general gets none of my respect. To demand it while employees aren't being paid enough is even worse. EVERY company needs to be better than this.
Nightmare employee experience and speaking personally, nightmare customer experience too.

Fuck off Target. Fix your DEI policies, pay your employees more instead of regulating their emotions, then apologize for 10 years. Until then, eat boycott bitches!
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.

just fucking vote for mills people

mills told trump "i'll see you in court" rather than sacrifice trans rights, sure she's old but all that means is she might die soonish and then you can replace HER with an even more progressive progressive, preferably one WITHOUT a goddamn nazi tattoo
Nothing says “you guys got me all wrong” like suddenly making your campaign staff sign NDAs.

Amazing how "not a racist" isn't enough reason to vote against a racist when "not a liberal" is all it takes to vote against a Democrat.

Maybe voters need to start having principles instead of prices.

If racism was as a much of a red line as a policy demand, the GOP wouldn't be racist.

It’s why it’s important that Star Trek says BOTH “the needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few” AND “the needs of few, or the one, outweigh the many” and why it’s revealing our culture that values Great Men as shaping & preserving the status quo only remembers the former as Treks main moral.
