The lede they buried is that the local police WILL help you if you happen to be personal friends with their chief.
This is just insane. It’s only a matter of time before DHS kills another innocent person here.

The United States of America is a government by pedophiles, for pedophiles.
In light of everything, one reason ICE needs to be abolished at the absolute minimum, is that it is one big pedophile ring. Every single ICE officer is either sexually assaulting minors, or is complicit with the sexual assault of minors happening within their organisation on an industrial scale.
Billions for an organisation full of nonces who've had over 5,000 complaints of sexual assault against minors back in 2019, the world knew this was happening during Trump's first term. A nazi pedophile organisation is getting billions so they can keep molesting.

you know, if Canada really wanted to retaliate against the us, economically, we could repeal a law we passed to get our free trade agreement. the one that prevents us from jailbreaking and selling jailbreaks for American big tech firms. Let Canadians jailbreak their tractors.

I did this for a company for a couple years and it destroyed me. I didn't find out until later that the labour code requires overtime pay even for salaried employees.

so what i’m reading here is a desire to create a “police” force that is “secret” from the public. Can someone tell me if this is a good thing?
Radley is so on the mark zeroing in on this: the creation of new "privacy" rights for federal police. The right to be anonymous to the public. The right not to have anyone know why they shot someone and tried to hide the evidence. "right to privacy" fascism addition.
Federal agents cornered Marimar Martinez, shot her several times, boasted about it, arrested her, lied about her to the public and in the police report, and falsely charged her with assaulting them.

Now the government wants to keep evidence of their lies secret to protect these agents' "privacy."

I genuinely wonder how CBC can write this with a straight face the same day they write about how we need to allow Facebook news because USA is threatening us, a week after USA stoked Alta. separatist. The threat to us from China is minuscule compared to that.

All I’m going to say is that, if America’s past invasions are the bar, China would be well justified in putting together a coalition of the willing to invade the USA, remove the Trump regime from power, and execute every member of ICE and every government official.
Here's what ICE is up to in Northeast Minneapolis today. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Warning: video is hard to watch

Life Hack: if you didn’t want to vote for genocide, just tell liberals that you didn’t vote for Trump. They will celebrate you.

We need, as a society, to understand that, yes, the conservatives want to implement fascism, but also their “opposition” largely starting with Clinton, Blair, and Mulroney, laid the groundwork for what is happening now by giving it a friendly face.
The straight truth is this:

The Liberal Party of Canada, UK Labour, and the Democratic Party of the US - none of the party brass truly have a problem with what the current US administration is doing. They have a problem with how obviously and openly it’s being done.

A short thread.

Good. Until such a time as an international committee can be formed to govern America and hold trials for every single member of government and law enforcement to hold them accountable for their crimes including dereliction of duty, Canada should be enacting sanctions against the Trump regime.

This is precisely what you say when you support the Fascist takeover of America, but also realize that it might hurt your electoral chances in the future.
I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

I’m no big fan of the Liberals, but I do believe that Trudeau was telling the truth when he said that the Americans were trying to destabilize our economy for takeover. I think most thought it was a joke at the time, but this is the reality as I see it.
Short of getting caught orchestrating a coup or assassination, this is absolutely the core case of what you expel an ambassador for.
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."
