So this is weird. The National Guard is staging at the Whipple building this morning. This is what you do when preparing for a mission.

There are a lot of other things that you can do to stop death camps from being constructed but this is a real-name account. I'm sure you can read accounts of WWII and dystopian fiction to find out what some of them are.
When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

The book club scam has taken an exciting new leap forward. I got one today from a "curated literary platform and newsletter" that, unusually, offered a link to its website. I'm in edits, so obviously I took the opportunity to procrastinate. /1

If I'm stuck while outlining, I'll start a list called "Stupid things that could happen next" and write a bunch of nonsense ideas down. Pterodactyl attack. Everyone starts singing. Someone transforms into a werewolf.

Eventually the ideas become less stupid, and usually I find a solution.
Alright, share your terrible writing tips that actually work.

Mine is: stop for the day in the middle of a paragraph, a sentence, even in the middle of a word. It feels SO wrong but it makes it 1000x easier to pick up the thread the next day.
