You can't say anything about referees without being accused of saltiness, or sour grapes, but Craig Pawson was an embarrassment today.

Completely gave into the crowd (and Sunderland falling over) at every opportunity, with some bizarre decision making along the way. Shocking.

I really disliked that performance last night.

There was no tempo or urgency in our play, apart from Dowman who really sped things up. Everything else was played with too many touches and with a no risk mindset, with the aim of eating up time and getting out of Vale without injury or exertion.

Have people got so bored of talking about injuries with Arsenal that they've forgotten they exist? Goes for fans as well as the media. Having the squad we do definitely makes them less of a factor, but we've the absences we've had barely seem to register. Felt it was downplayed last season too, tbh.

To go back to the start, painting Arsenal as cowardly because, shorn of a string of key attackers, they didn’t try to out-attack Liverpool is lazy analysis based on out of date talking points from a game people don’t seem to remember correctly in the first place. Thanks for vindicating me.

This is a beautiful sentimental message from Newcastle united, saying goodbye to Isak.

How does it feel to be Totteringham?
How does it feel to be small?
We signed Eze,
You threw paint at a wall.

Arsenal shouldn’t bother announcing the Eze transfer.
Just put a sentence on the website and a solitary still of him holding the shirt will do.

Ornstein, Romano. They own transfers now. The race to be first is everything. There’s even a mural painted before the deal is verified!

Boring game in the end. Don't think Spurs were amazing but they defended well and Arsenal hardly pushed them - some real déjà vu from last season.

🔺 Creativity issues against low block
🔺 Left hand side lacking threat again
🔺 Dowman with another bright cameo

That's literally it.

England played 360 minutes of regulation knockout football at Euro 2025.

They were behind for 173 minutes (2 hours, 53 minutes)
They were ahead for 1 minute.

England in finals will never ever be boring.

Up The England.

Agyeeeeemmmmmaaaaannnnngggg!!

Nothing quite like a last minute England goal to get the heart rate going 🔥 🔥 🔥

Talk about riding your luck!

Dreadful shootout, but incredibly went our way despite looking cooked on 3 or 4 times. Emotional rollercoaster there. Huge, huge, huge mental boost for England now who have to use that now to retain the trophy.

Also, that bloody cricket! At its best, Test cricket is still compelling in a totally unique way. Not "better" than your favourite sport, but different and marvellous. Well done, England. Hard lines, India. In truth, neither side deserves to lose.

Thought India were brilliant in the 2nd test and deservedly made the series 1-1. Were set for a cracking summer.

For an England POV, we simply have to be better at finding ways to take 20 wickets.
Clearly was always going to so hard to fill the Anderson/Broad void. Not Archer is ready yet?

It's so "Arsenal" that the fanbase seems to be definitively split 50-50 on whether Sesko or Gyökeres is the right option.

Maybe the reality is no-one knows whether Sesko will fulfil supposed potential or that Gyökeres will be able to transfer his goalscoring form from Portugal to the Premier League

430 for 3 and to end up losing. What a test match that was. Feels like this could be a really brilliant series with two excellent flawed sides.
June 24, 2025 at 10:17 PM
England are going to go for it tomorrow and it’s going to be entertaining what ever the result.

It’s just such a shame that like the FA cup, whenever there is a great test, we have to say “the game is alive and well”.
June 23, 2025 at 9:38 PM
The ebb and flow of a test match, the mental and physical battle. There really are few things in sport like it. When it’s good, boy it’s so good.
Superbly poised game at Headingley.

12 - Lionel Messi has scored 68 direct free-kick goals for club and country, scoring at least one in 12 different competitions (plus international friendlies). Stamp.

Quite telling that even with the attraction of Messi. I notice the top tier of the falcons stadium is closed for Inter Miami v Porto. Lots of empty seats too…

Tough start to the season

BUT

Surely it’s good to get those games out of the way before the cups kick in. Couple of new signings, hit the ground really running and lay a marker down.

Up The Gunners! 💪
