I can understand that.
The objectification of women is a society problem and has been for centuries. Improvement has to happen. Starting with the justice system. It shouldn’t have taken over two years to press charges.

I’m just making the point that I can understand why teammates would back him, until now at least.
The fact the CPS took 2 years to bring charges hasn’t helped matters.
Now he will have his day in court and if he’s guilty I hope he’s met with the harshest possible punishment.

I’m just making the point that I can understand why teammates would back him, until now at least.

Everything is a choice. They are choosing to back the person they know rather than an accuser they don’t.
My point was that I can understand why a teammate would back someone, who has told them they didn’t do what they’d been accused of.Especially if there is no proof or suspicion they are lying.
