What show is this about Rockford Files?
Nothing describes the US "healthcare" system better than a television show where a normal person with a normal job has to turn to crime, say, making and selling drugs after finding out he has a health emergency like cancer, just to survive the medical bills. someone should do this. Oh, wait.....

George R.R. Martin has said that if he never completes Game of Thrones sequel Winds of Winter (or the book after that), there's no plan for anyone else to step in. Instead, his Song of Ice and Fire series simply "won't be finished."

It’s kind of funny that because of the prominence of the UK Liberal Party - a broad tent party built led by Peelite Tories - has become in Europe synonymous with Peelite Torism where as in the US it’s retained its 18th century meaning as Jacobin ideals
Radical liberalism was the ideology of the abolitionists, and is in many ways is the bedrock on which the modern American liberal left is built more than anything else.
Liberalism is a radical idea of universal liberation, even if most of its modern-day adherents are squishy opportunists who are simply echoing what they perceive as the prevailing ideology of their friends

Not attacking this person, but people often misinterpret that the meaning pf USSR entering the war with Japan. It was powerful *exactly because signaled the stability of the upcoming liberal international world order*
Well that’s bc Japan hadn’t been defeated yet and US policy was to secure an USSR declaration of war on Japan to assist with the invasion Japan home islands / Manchuria

What’s crazy about this is that the battle of berlin ended with everyone respecting their Yalta agreements and sitting down to form a postwar plan for continuation of war cooperation (the United Nations). Summer 1945 is the absolute height of a liberal international order
