Talking of royal correspondents, I recall one lad who did a long thing about how Chas would bounce back from cancer because he had "none of the tendency of excess of his ancestors Edward VII, George IV or Henry VIII". Only one of those three was his ancestor. Absolutely stealing a living these lads.

To which I'd add: i) it creates a suspicion that people who actually need glasses are equally noncey, so THANKS FOR THAT; ii) hopefully anyone seen wearing Ray-Bans from now on will be shunned and mocked; iii) have chewing gum ready at all times to stick over those lenses.
