Having been born on this day in 1957, I am somewhat susceptible to tv adverts we see at this time of year, ones that use the festivities of the 1970s as a means of evoking nostalgia for Christmases gone by. I think this one may have gone a bit too far however.

Not easy to get to sleep tonight - have burnt the bridge of whatever career I had left and really don’t feel that my opinions are so extreme that that should have been necessary
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

A final observation: This example shows what a nightmare it would be in TX to abolish FEMA and leave states in charge of disaster response. Not only do we see stuff like this or Snowpocalypse, when one of our governors became president, he presided over Katrina! Our ppl can't handle this stuff.
